From Vision to Victory: Meet Tolulope, ASBE’s Telehealth Trailblazer

When Adeyemo Tolulope John, a 500-level Nursing Science student from Fountain University, Osogbo, stepped into the ASBE Season 3 competition, he carried more than a business idea — he carried a mission.

His project, Carebrij, an AI-integrated telehealth marketplace, earned him the Second Runner-Up position in the Technology & Innovation category. It wasn’t just a win — it was a statement about the future of healthcare in Nigeria.

The Idea: Carebrij

Carebrij is designed to bridge the gap between patients and quality healthcare services, especially in underserved communities. It offers:

  • Virtual consultations with licensed medical professionals
  • Access to prescriptions and medical services
  • A flexible income model for healthcare providers

“Carebrij solves the problem of limited access to quality consultations for patients in remote areas,” Tolulope explains. “It’s built for patients, families, and healthcare professionals seeking flexible, affordable, and seamless care.”

Pitching Under Pressure

Like many young innovators, Tolulope felt nervous before presenting.
“I felt a mix of anticipation and nervous energy,” he recalls. “But as I pitched, I gained more confidence knowing I was offering a solution that genuinely impacts lives.”

His biggest challenge? Time.
“Clearly articulating the value and feasibility of the idea within limited time was tough,” he says.

A Moment to Remember

When his name was called as a winner, the moment felt “surreal and humbling.”
“It affirmed all the hard work and long nights. It was a reminder that this idea can truly make a difference.”

Life After ASBE

ASBE didn’t just give Tolulope an award — it gave him a launchpad.
“ASBE helped me refine the Carebrij model, build valuable connections, and gain exposure,” he shares.

Today, Carebrij is in its beta testing phase, with partnerships already forming across diagnostic centers and pharmacies.

His Advice to Future ASBE Contestants

“Go for it! Believe in your idea, prepare diligently, and use ASBE as a springboard to learn, grow, and connect.”

And the biggest lesson he’s taking with him?
“That every great idea starts with a brave step. Courage, preparation, and perseverance open unimaginable doors.”
